This is not a barrel.
The ranger with his own hashtag #RangerJohn is back -- this time in the bathtub 🛀 😳-- to explain to you what exactly constitutes "a barrel." Historically speaking. Don't miss this.

I had a dog named Atalaya!
You Guys & Gals keep that camp ground Beautiful thanks favorite all your hard work that's my happy place LOVE IT
Many historians today advocate for calling these places “labor camps” or “slave labor camps” or "forced labor camps" rather than “plantations,” in order to avoid hiding the truth of what really happened in these agricultural operations using forced labor. The story is not told about how the plantation owners became so wealthy and able to build these homes nor how the enslaved people were whipped, raped, and treated as livestock.
This is so cool. Would love to volunteer to help on an archeological dig .
Great concept well done
What a very informative guy! He should have his own channel
I found a set of left wings the other morning and I was sad but excited, such beautiful moths. Hope it lived a great week.
This looks 😎 cool
i like the turtle part lol
The tour guide gave an incorrect description of a plantation. We all need to call it exactly what it was, it was a forced labor camp. And do not refer to the slave owners as elite families. They owned human beings as property and treated enslaved people as animals.
My cat killed a brown 1 the other night
I wish we had them in California. I remember them from childhood. Ranger Ashleigh (Ashley?) has a very nice voice.
bro,ur the best,i understood so easily and didnt even had to play back once
Noah's flood is making more sense to me.
Very nice shearing
SC is cool.
Shooting Range is the only part of Hickory knob that hasn't went to shit! THE ONLY PART! WAS going to take my kids to Hickory Knob now that I'm grown, but ROB POWELL has let the entire place fall into disrepair. No tennis courts, the pool hasn't been maintained in years, and the cabins are no longer available due to "maintenance". Cause the "maintenance" workers are too busy hiding in the woods not doing shit! All at the same time EVERY room is booked every weekend. NEW MANAGEMENT IS DESPERATELY NEEDED! Not what it once was, feel sorry for the people that actually pay to stay here.
Woopy! So what it's staged 😊.
🤡
Amen ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm here from India I'm searching for black water
Can you just imagine life back then!!!!!!!!!!!
It feels so rare to have an animal unique to North America be so beautiful and cool.
Don't forget banana slugs
Beautiful 💚
The rosy moth and these have to be some of my favorites :)
The revisionists refuse to call them what they are---plantations.
The purveyors of politcally correct revisionist history no longer use the word "plantation" or "slave." They refuse to call it what it is.
Less on books and toys, more on house.
Wow so interesting! Thank you for the facts Ranger Becca!
Awesome idea! I hope all SC State Parks as well as County Parks eventually has one of these!
How cool!

I made a youtube short cinematic for this location. Can't wait to get back a do a full video. Such an awesome location.
I dont know if hes being celebrated. We have beautiful architecture from this time. It is being admired, just like we admire ruins from Greek and Roman times.
I don't know if he's being celebrated. We have beautiful homes from this era that we see and admire. We admire architecture from Greek and Roman times also . How they came about is horrible. It's possible for both .
The guide skipped over the scandal that James' brother in law, Wadw Hampton accused him of sexually assaulting Wades four daughters. James was shunned by society and his life in politics was over. His behavior was well known and at least two enslaved women (mother and daughter) bore his children.
We love our state parks! Thank you for this info on that great amphitheater.
Sir , this is the best explanation
Ranger Dunn!

Thanks for this nice video. My dad was one of the Edisto 13 and it was great to learn more about this event and how it fit into the larger struggle for civil rights.
